The HRLT conference celebrates students and recent graduates who understand the importance of people management skills in their careers. Both live and virtual attendance is open. Attending live means you will participate in corporate HR tours and a trip to the Mendenhall Glacier! All participants (even virtual) will participate in keynote presentations, career-building activities, and concurrent sessions focused on contemporary topics… and games will reward attendees with fun prizes when you show your HR knowledge!

Pacific West Regional Student Conference

We sent three students down to the Pacific West Regional Student Conference to attend and compete in a case study competition.  Tons of fun was had and the experience was phenomenal!

Case Competition

The SHRM Case Competition consists of a two-day event where teams of up to six undergraduate or graduate students from various colleges and universities come to compete. This popular case-solving competition allows teams to develop and present solutions to realistic job situations before a panel of judges.  The case is created specifically for the SHRM Case Competition and can focus on any number of HR issues (i.e., Management Practices; Selection & Recruitment; Training & Development; Compensation & Benefits; Employee/Labor Relations; and Health, Safety & Security or a combination). This one-of-a-kind competition is beneficial to professional members, as well as students. The professionals judging the cases get a fresh look at the knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm of the HR students that are getting ready to graduate.  While students have the opportunity to network with other students and showcase their knowledge to HR practitioners.
